3. If they are trying to promote a specific coin then they may just be trying to pump the price of their own coins. However some of their coins could turn out to be great picks. That's why it’s always important to do you own research when it comes to altcoins as a good chunk won’t make it.

4. If they are promoting a pump and dump group then you should walk away. Most people coming into these groups get rekt. They will tell you a coin they are going to pump but by the time you get into it the leaders of the group will already start to dump their profits onto newcomers leaving them with heavy losses.
